Heineman recalled, Pearson placed on IR
Swedish forward has played seven games in Laval; Pearson out 4-6 weeks with upper-body injury
MONTREAL – The Canadiens announced on Wednesday that they’ve recalled forward Emil Heineman from the AHL’s Laval Rocket.
Heineman, 22, has played seven games for the Rocket this season, compiling one goal and three assists for four points.
A native of Leksand, Sweden, Heineman was acquired in a trade with the Calgary Flames in February 2022.
The team also announced that Tanner Pearson was placed on injured reserve. Earlier this week, the Canadiens stated that the forward would miss four to six weeks with an upper-body injury. He had left Saturday’s game in Buffalo and did not return.
Pearson has four goals and eight points in 27 games with Montreal this season.
